I looked up reviews on baby mattresses and the Colgate is at the top. It is the number one rated mattress against SIDS. That was very important to me and my husband. The mattress is very firm to prevent your baby from being able to turn and suffocate. If anyone is looking for a great mattress that is safe The Colgate classica I foam mattress is it.

I read the reviews on amazon and chose this mattress. It is quite firm, but that is what was recommended by baby bargains and many reviews online so that was nice. LIGHTWEIGHT! It is amazing how many sheets in which a baby can go through and this mattress was easy to change sheets and clean it as well with one wipe. The material seems very strong and I will be using this mattress on my next child as well. One more items, the square corners on this mattress fit my crib extremely well which is a good safety item. This is the mattress you should buy for your baby.

I have a Sealy mattress, which is a great mattress. It just has rounded corners & I could get my whole hand in between the crib & mattress. So, I looked for a mattress with square corners & found this one. It's a REALLY hard mattress, but she sleeps through the night & it fits snugly in the crib, so I think it was well worth it. I can't even get a finger between the crib & mattress, and yet it's still easy to get in & out for sheet changing. Anyway, great mattress!

I bought a Colgate Classica when our first son was born 10 years ago after reading the "Baby Bargains" book and was very pleased with it. We used it for our daughter when she was born 4 years later and when we had two in cribs I purchased another. The fourth child brought our third Colgate mattress. I love that they are so lightweight;it makes changing sheets a breeze and they fit cribs very well. They are extremely well made. I highly recommend!

Our baby has been sleeping on this mattress for 3 months. I have probably changed the sheet on the mattress about 10 times, and already the mattress is coming apart at the seams in 2 places. Thankfully it is covered by a 10-year warranty and Amazon is quick with a replacement, however I would not expect a baby mattress to come apart at the seams so quickly. I am hoping the replacement fares better.I purchased this mattress because it was rated highly for being firm. I can say that our baby does sleep soundly on it and it fits snugly in the crib. It is also lightweight. Overall I have been satisfied with it but am a little disappointed in the quality.

This is a fantastic mattress. We've used one for 3 years with our oldest and now that a sibling is on the way, we'll be buying a new one for that child too. (we'd use the original but Oldest is still loving the toddler bed and doesn't want to move out of it). The mattress fits very snuggly and has held up to two moves, lots of middle of the night changes and a wide variety of "ick" :o) The only sign of wear after three years is that the corners look a little mashed on top from all the sheet changes. The only cavet is that you have to buy a good quality sheet (like Carters) because the mattress is a little thicker than most. I tore through two cheaper brand sheets cuz they weren't made to fit a mattress this thick.

I had this mattress for my first child and now will be using it for my second child. It still looks and feels brand new. It has great support, still firm, and is easy to clean. The original $100 investment was worth it!

After reading baby bargains, we decided to buy a colgate mattress for our 4 month old daughter. We bought ours at Storkland - which was surprisingly about the same price at the time. My daughter is now almost three years old and still using this mattress! Despite the usual stuff you go through with a baby and toddler (vomiting, spit-up, poop, snot, jumping, crawling, etc.), the mattress shows no signs of wear and tear! I haven't had any difficulty with the sheets fitting, but I did use average to a little bit higher priced sheets. The mattress fills up the crib perfectly - no holes, and my daughter was tiny (4 lbs 12 oz when we took her home). It is firm enough to be very safe but is also apparently comfortable because my daughter sleeps wonderfully in it! I thought at the time it was a bit pricey, but we are getting ready to buy another for my newborn son! It is definitely worth the investment.

we've been using this mattress with a DaVinci Kalani crib for over 2 months now. So far i like it. It fit very snugly in the crib even at the edges. The mattress is quite firm as we wanted it. The surface though, probably because it is water resistant, is slippery, so when we put a sheet on top of the mattress, unless the sheet is fit very tightly it gets a bit slippery under our baby's feet. would have been good if the surface had more friction.

After a lengthy review process that included consulting consumer reviews, product safety and even going into baby stores and asking for their opinions, there was an overwhelming consensus that if you were searching for a baby mattress COLGATE CLASSICA 1 FOAM CRIB MATTRESS was the mattress to buy.We absolutely love our COLGATE CLASSICA 1 FOAM CRIB MATTRESS. Our baby is not the best sleeper and especially has issues when we travel, but at home, he is a great sleeper on his COLGATE CLASSICA 1 FOAM CRIB mattress. So far we have no wear and tear issues and we have other family members that have used COLGATE mattresses for 2 and even 3 children that span over 8 years. Thank you COLGATE for making such a great mattress and making our lives with our new baby just a little bit easier.
